In 1989, the 1890 barn-shaped Inn and Carriage House were converted from a single-family farmhouse to Heathwood Inn.
The Inn now features 5 private guest rooms. Each guest room has its own private bath.
The Carriage House has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. (3 Q 1 T beds, Huge Spa tub. Kitchen, 2 living areas. Rents Saturday t Saturday.
Located in out of town Bar Harbor, just 4 miles from the Acadia National Park entrance and 7 miles from in town Bar Harbor, our location is appreciated for avoiding the crowds in town.
Due to COVID-19 We will offer lower priced rooms rates with NO Breakfast.
*The Prices have been significantly lowered for our off season Nov - April.
In an effort to consider Heathwood Inn's guests and staff health and safety, in the math of COVID-19, there is no contact check in/out and we do not offer breakfast,

Heathwood Inn welcomes you to Bar Harbor, Maine and to our Inn. We have 5 Private Guest Rooms with 5 Private in-room bathrooms. DUE to COVID-19 our new Rates reflect NO Breakfast served.
The Carriage House is a Saturday to Saturday Rental, sleeps 9.
Eden, Master & Hunter's Brook can accommodate a "*roll-away" bed, as requested.
*$30 Extra fee add on.
Heathwood Inn is located 2 miles from the head of Mount Desert Island on Route 3.
Acadia National Park entrance is only 4 miles away and the quaint, well-visited town of Bar Harbor, Maine is only a 7 mile ride.
Heathwood Inn is at the heart of the amazing and spectacular Acadia area. Visitors to Maine find our area to be superb, as it offers the photographer an unending canvas, and ever available activities for those who love the outdoors. Kayaking, hiking, cycling, museums, galleries, and restaurants galore. Touring options include whale watching, lighthouse touring, Puffins, sea kayak tours and beyond. Visitors have been known to visit summers for 50 years in a row!
